- Directions to OCGS – 101 Main Street, Goshen
NY 10924:
OCGS is co-located with the Orange County
Historian’s office
in the
Historic 1841 Courthouse, easily recognized by six
huge
white columns and a very tall flagpole.
I-84 West to Exit 4 (East), then 4.5
miles East on NY Route 17
to exit
124. Loop around to right, cross back over Route 17,
continue
straight ˝ mile on NY Route 207 (Main Street) to
downtown
traffic light. OCGS will be on left at end of
next block.
It is just before the Methodist Church (brick) and
across
Main Street from the Presbyterian Church (tall clock tower).
NOTE: Free parking is
hard to find during the work week.
You may have to use metered parking
on Main Street at first.
Ask OCGS volunteer about finding
other parking.
- Shorter route from Newburgh:
Follow signs for “Stewart Airport”.
This will put you on NY
Route 207. Continue on
207 about 15 miles past entrance
to the
airport until you reach the Village of Goshen. About
0.4 miles past the first traffic
light there is a large statue in
the
street, where it splits into two streets. The Methodist
Church will be on the right, with
OCGS in the next building
on the
right beyond the church.
Take Woodbury/Harriman exit (# 17).
Proceed 15 miles West
on NY
Route 17. Take exit 124 (exit right).
Left at first light,
then
right at next light (by Mobil & Exxon Stations), proceed
straight
ahead on NY Route 207 (which becomes Main Street)
thru
downtown traffic light. OCGS will be one block ahead on left.
Go East 4.5 miles on NY Route 17 to
exit 124, then follow directions
into
Goshen on NY Route 207 (which becomes Main Street)
Go East
about 18 miles on I-84 to Exit 4 (East), then go East
4.5 miles on NY Route 17 to exit
124, then follow directions
into
Goshen on NY Route 207 (which becomes Main Street)
